That's right! Team UBRT Racing takes 1st in Class in the Pro Extreme 1400 Truck Series with the 1438 truck driven by Lloyd Snyder with co-driver Nick Cerulle in the first half and Bob Schreiner with co-driver Sheila Nelson in the second half of the scheduled 200 mile race.

I showed up Thursday around noon to run the truck for a little testing. All was well and meet Lloyd at Bob's Big Boy for dinner to only drive in the 35* weather back to camp. Friday I woke up at 5:30 to only see the temp was 16*. Well you can only think what I did. Yep, sleep in till 9:00. A little later, another test with Lloyd driving. Yes, you read that right. My first time in the right seat. Later in the afternoon we were off to Race Tech at Outlet Center.

Saturday morning, The team was already to attack the brutal Barstow course that our truck seams to love. For some reason our truck seams to love all the course we race on or maybe it's just our team loving the competition that is thrown at us. Anyways, Lloyd drove the first three 33 mile laps and then came in for our pit stop and the driver change. We had to do a minor repair on the left front wheel bearing and refueled the truck while the driver change went on and off we went for our 4th and last lap on the big course. We had five 13.5 mile laps to do on the small course and had an absolute ball running them. Sheila laughed the whole time. Lloyd set fast lap with a 49.04 minute lap on the big course and I set fast lap with a 17.30 minute lap on the small course. If you remember in the pre-race report, this race was 2 race courses with a common start/finish line at the beginning of pit row and then split back apart after 2.2 miles. This win gives us 16 wins in 20 races along with 3 consecutive championships.

As I had mentioned above, we now have a team mate in the Pro Modified 1450 Truck Series. With the debut of Cameron Sinohui's truck number 1470, the new Toyota Tundra he has been working on sense January, Cameron took the wheel as driver and co-driver Chris White. The 1450 class ran 5 laps on the 13.5 mile course and 2 laps on the 33 mile course. On there 2nd lap of the small course, they had minor issues with the steering rack with braking the mounting strap. They pulled into the pit for a replacement and off they went. On lap 1 of the big of the 33 mile course they broke the welds on the left rear shackle mount and back in to the pit for a quick weld job and off for there 3rd place finish. Congrats to you guys on your first race!

As usual we had family, friends and team mates this weekend. Stu Thayer and Tim Bonino as Chase, Ron and Sheila, Papa and Mama Crone, Lloyd's and his wife Joyce, Nick Cerulle and his family, Jeff Carley as crew chief, Ron and Lisa also as chase, Tess, Ed and Leslie Peisker from Placerville and quit a few other guest that I can't remember at this time. And of course Cameron, Lisa and Chris, our team mates! I hope I didn't leave anyone out!
